Eric Glass

South Padre Island, TX

Working with fly fishing guide Eric Glass is a wonderful experience.  He always seems to know where the fish are, plus his knowledge of the area and its flora and fauna is outstanding. Glass moved to the Rio Grande Valley in 1986, after completing a degree in aquatic biology at Southwest Texas State University. He has been an avid fisherman since early childhood and learned to fly fish at the local golf course, of all places, when he was twelve or thirteen. Besides flats fishing, Glass enjoys trout and steelhead fishing, and he has fished most of the western states over the past twenty-five years or so.

Best months to fish

All year! The Lower Laguna Madre is a 12-month fishery.

Would like to come down to Padre early spring and see what Gulf flyfishing is all about. Ive done a bit of flyfishing in Montana and Alaska when I lived there but not a pro. :) Do you take out singles or do you need 2 people? My son is a Police Officer near Ft.Worth and could be a possibility during the week. Not off weekends.

    thanks so much!
    happy new year
